Adopt a Scholarship
Our Adopt a Scholarship scheme is perfect for supporters who are interested in a particular field of study, or who want to see the direct impact their contribution can make on an individual. Each Adopt a Scholarship package includes: details of your “adoption”, information about the scholarship, the field of study, the scholarship’s duration, and the university it is attached to. Your name will be assigned to the scholarship and you will receive an annual report on the progress of your student. If you are interested in a particular field of study or country of study, we are able to tailor your Adopt a Scholarship package accordingly.
The average scholarship award granted in the 2015/16 academic year was £4,000. The exact amount granted will depend on a variety of factors including the country of study, the course and living costs. Our Adopt a Scholarship scheme offers you the option of contributing a full scholarship, at £4,000 per year of study, or a part-scholarship of £800.

Support an education project
The state supported education system in Burma is so poor that students graduating high school are not well equipped to participate in degree courses of an internationally recognised standard. There are many foundation courses available in Burma to help bridge the knowledge-gap between high school and university, primarily focussing on English Language and Critical Thinking skills, but many of these are fee based making them inaccessible to those from a disadvantaged background. Prospect Burma’s Bridging Programme provides support for disadvantaged students, from a variety of ethnic areas, to access these foundation courses, helping them to progress along the education pathway.
