The summer of 2016 is an exciting time for Prospect Burma, as we open our first office in Yangon. This is an enormous milestone for the organisation, and one which only a few years earlier would have seemed an impossibility. For many years, Prospect Burma was a blacklisted organisation. The new office allows us to offer support and expertise on the ground like never before. In particular it allows us to reach students in rural areas and a greater diversity of ethnic backgrounds, and to further expand our programmes. Additionally, as we see more and more of our alumni returning to the country we are better placed to help them develop their networks and support them in seeking internships and jobs.
