Aung Shwe Oo was born in Sittwe, Rakhine State, Myanmar in 1986. He received his bachelor of Art (Honours) degree in History from Sittwe University in 2006. When he attended Sittwe University, his voluntary works began at “Association of University Stipend and Social Affairs, Rakhine (AUSSAR) and he took responsibility as president role from December 2007 to December 2008. In addition, he also joined at “Sittwe Millennium Center” as volunteer for a few months in 2009.
Then, in April 2009 he came to Yangon with the purpose of searching for scholarship opportunity to study abroad. He became a member of American Center Arakan Club (ACAC), American Center, Yangon, Myanmar and then also contribute his voluntary works there as secretary and organizer in 2010.
After that, he gained scholarship for studying abroad from Prospect Burma in 2011 and went to study Philippines. There, he also contributed as Country Representative of Myanmar, UPLB International Student’s Association, University of Philippines Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines from January 2013 to December 2013. In 2013, he got his master degree in management of development management and governance from University of Philippines, Los Banos, Philippines.
Furthermore, from May 2014 to May 2016, he participated in Myanmar Scholarship Alumni Association (MSAA) as one of the EC members in Yangon, Myanmar.
Currently, he is taking the executive role of Scholar Institute as the title of Director of Organizational Management and Development. At the same time, he takes responsibility at Prospect Burma ARACH as secretary role.
