Cing Sawn Hun

Cing Sawn Hun graduated from Adventist Medical Centre, Manila, The Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). A major component of the course was Related Learning Experience, which enabled her to gain practical experience working across departments in hospitals and clinics. This ranged from maternal and child health and infectious diseases, to orthopaedics and psychiatry.

During her studies, she volunteered on a number of community healthcare projects in the Philippines and helped with the response to natural disasters including typhoon Haiyan. She also assisted at the Seventh Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights.

Cing Sawn Hung returned home after graduation, and has been working towards certification which would allow her to establish a clinic and pharmacy in her village. She firmly believes the knowledge gained from her studies has given her the confidence to fulfil her lifelong ambition of improving access to healthcare for her community.
