At Prospect Burma, the safety of our staff and students is our overriding priority. In order to put the wellbeing of our staff and students foremost during the current global pandemic, we have made decisions to change the way we work. But the work does go on. Beyond COVID-19 lies the task of rebuilding – through lessons learnt, through new ideas, in new circumstances as yet impossible to imagine. Members of Myanmar’s poorest communities will be hard hit, and we will need to prepared to help support re-development where we can. Myanmar will need all the talents of its young people to achieve this. So in the coming weeks we will continue with our scholarships application selection, and with our plans for growing Access to Learning for under-served communities who need it most, awaiting better times to come. Our brightest hope for a better future is investing in talented people. We intend to do so for a very long time to come.
