The Application for Continued Funding form and Continuing Students Progress Report should be completed ‘online‘ by returning students who received a Prospect Burma scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year, and who are continuing in the same degree programme. The online application form link and report link is sent out to you by email on 2nd January 2019. Please check your email and let us know if you have not seen it.
Applicants who received a grant and wish to apply again MUST complete the progress report on their experiences and fill financial information indicating what they have spent the PB scholarship funds on during 2018/19, and give one academic reference from your current university tutor. Without these things, your application is likely to be rejected. There is no need for you to wait for your grades; you should send these to us as soon as they become available.
This year, the application for follow-on students who have received a scholarship from Prospect Burma and wish to receive further funding for their study is opened on 1st January 2019 and the deadline is 28th February 2019. Please ensure that you complete the online application form and online report before the deadline.
We help students who can demonstrate financial need, and who will return to Myanmar to contribute to the democratic rebuilding of the country. Our awards are intended as a contribution to tuition fees, academic course materials, and living expenses including accommodation and food. All applicants must ensure that they obtain adequate health insurance or other suitable arrangements to cover medical / dental / optical costs. We do not contribute to international travel or debts and we do not make a contribution to the costs of dependents – spouses, partners or children.
If you are successful in your application for continued funding you will be asked to sign and return another grant letter. You will need to provide a receipt and copy of your bank statement once you have received your grant for the 2019/20 academic year.
Decisions on awards are made by Prospect Burma scholarship committee and are final. Anyone submitting false documents, making untrue statements or failing to disclose all relevant information will NOT receive a grant either this year, or in the future.

Application form help
Financial information – In the application form for continued funding you will need to provide information regarding the amount of scholarship you are requesting. Please try to show as accurately as possible your costs for the upcoming academic year, as well as any assistance from other sources (such as loans, grants and fee-waivers) that you will receive to cover some of these costs. Prospect Burma will evaluate your request on the basis of the information you provide. You will also need to provide information on how you spent your scholarship in the previous year. You will also need to provide information regarding other financial assistance in the form of scholarships, loans, savings or support from your family, that you received for the 2018 academic year. Please fill in this information as accurately as possible, as it will help us to make a decision regarding your scholarship request for this year.
