America supporting young people from Burma

The United States is home to nearly a quarter of a million people from Burma of all ethnic minorities. Standing with them are thousands of American friends, many of whom have lived, worked or visited Burma and hold the country close to their hearts.

There is huge desire to help people back in Burma get through its current crisis and build a peaceful, alternative future. One way to do this is by supporting young people from Burma to become the doctors, engineers, managers and other professionals who can lead and achieve this.

Educating young people is just as vital as food and medical aid. Education will equip them to create their own sustainable, democratic nation which is less reliant on foreign aid. However, the country’s educational system has collapsed since the military junta’s coup in 2021. Find out more.
